Miller Park was built to replace the aging County Stadium. The Milwaukee Brewers walked into their new home in April of 2001. There was no need for comparisons; Miller Park was so much nicer than County Stadium.
I think that one fan from Boston described Miller Park very well when he said "I put this ballpark near the top. The park interior has so many photo opportunities, and there is a play area for the kids. Behind the outfield stands are windows. You can feel the breeze when they open those enormous windows."
Most people comment on the Miller Park roof. It is great to have a roof for baseball in Milwaukee. The warm weather may not settle in until the middle of May. The retractable roof can keep the venue warm on those spring nights. The Brewers fans cheer when they see the roof start to open.
Families that come to the ballpark will find reasonable prices for tickets at Miller Park. The venue also draws fans from northern Illinois. When compared to the prices for Sox and Cubs, tickets to Miller Park make the trip worthwhile.
One of the unique experiences that fans truly enjoy is tailgating prior to the game. The Miller Park parking lot plays host to some amazing tailgate parties. Before cheering on the home team, fans will grill up some Wisconsin bratwurst, and play catch. Others prefer to have their tailgate parties catered. You can find those folks under the large tents on the western edge of the Miller Park parking lots.
Once inside the park the fun is just beginning. The Miller Park fans both young and old love to cheer on the sausage racers. The fans go wild when Bernie Brewer races down the yellow slide, signaling a home run. The games are fun to watch too.
