 U.S. Cellular Arena Milwaukee

Originally built in 1950, the U.S. Cellular Arena was named the Milwaukee Arena hosted various basketball events, hockey, circus events, concerts and a wide assortment of other events.  One thing is for sure, the venue has seen constant change.  The building has been updated a number of times, to accommodate the needs of their tenants.  U.S. Cellular tickets can be a bargain, depending on the event.

The U.S. Cellular Arena has served as the home of the Milwaukee Bucks, Marquette University's basketball team, and the Milwaukee Admirals.  Current teams that call the Arena home are the UW-Milwaukee Panthers, Milwaukee Wave, and the Milwaukee Bonecrushers.

Over the years, the "Arena" itself has had a few different names.  From 1968-1974 it was the Milwaukee Arena, 1974-1995 the MECCA Arena, 1995-2000 as the Wisconsin Center, and currently as the U.S. Cellular Arena. The Arena had had one major renovation in 1998.  The total cost at completion was $10.5 Million.  The Arena now offers 8,910 permanent seats with a capacity for 12,700 and a total of 41,000 square feet of floor space.

The seating in the U.S. Cellular Arena helps to make the fan feel very close to the action.  When the Golden Eagles play, the venue is a sea of blue and gold.  When the UW Panthers play, the colors change to black and yellow.  No matter the team, the U.S. Cellular Arena feels like home.
