Manny Parra managed a perfect game while pitching AAA ball in the Pacific Coast League. He got called back up to major league play in July of 2007. After nine games with the Brewers his ERA was 3.76, with no decisions. On August 1st, Parra struck out 8 Mets batters. Parra injured his left thumb on August 30th. He spent 15 days on the DL. He didn’t pitch for the rest of the 2007 season. For 2008, Parra is in the starting rotation. The Brewers had high hopes for Parra this 2009 season, but his performance did not meet their expectations. Parra spent some time this seaons playing for Class AAA Nashville. When he returned, Parra went 8-3. He finished the season with a 6.36 ERA, the highest among National League starters.
