More Info
Mark DiFelice is a catcher on the MLB team the Milwaukee Brewers and has been playing with the team since 2008. He got his professional debut with the Colorado Rockies organization in 1998 where he played for several minor league teams and then moved into the Baltimore Orioles organization in 2004. He has played on various teams such as the Portland Rockies, the Tulsa Drillers and the Ottawa Lynx.

In 2007, DiFelice played for the Milwaukee Brewers’ minor league team, the AA Huntsville Stars and then the AAA team the Nashville Sounds. With an ERA of 3.53 and 951 strikeouts in his first ten professional seasons and a good start to his 2008 season in Nashville, his contract was bought by Milwaukee in mid May where he made his major league premier on May 18th. He played 10 games with the team before being sent back to Nashville until September and then made his permanent return to the team.

In 2009 he proved that he has been a reliable asset to the pitchers and the team during the first half of the season, with a 1.83 ERA in 35 appearances. With his specialty being a cut fastball, he has mostly been used against right-handed hitters, which has limited his playing time. His talents were used to maximum capacity during the first half of the season until he was slammed after the all-star break, pushing a 7.27 ERA in 24 games. He continued to play sparingly after this and did better for the team and ended up having a respectable first full season with the Brewers.
