At the end of the 2009 season, Braun had the most hits in the National League at 203. This accomplishment made him the first Brewer to reach the 200 hit mark since Paul Molitor in 1991. In addition, Braun hit 32 home runs, stole 20 bases had 144 RBIs, and scored 113 runs this season. These accomplishments made Braun only the second Brewer in history to hit 30 home runs and steal 20 bases. Braun batted .320, had a .386 on-base percentage, walked 57 times and struck out 121 times. In his second year as a left fielder, Braun had two errors in 156 games.
In 2009, Ryan Braun finished with a .320 batting average. He made the All Star team, and hit 32 home runs. He is much more at ease in left field now. He had 114 RBI's, and that helped him to continue to be a Brewers fan favorite.
